A disused tram depot has reopened as a roastery bar. The space seats 200 people and holds a 15-kilogram (33-pound) roaster behind glass.

The owners kept the original iron beams. They added a long marble bar and a bakery that sells bread by weight.

What it serves

The menu is short. Espresso and filter lead. Four coffees rotate each month. A tasting flight lets guests compare three.

Food runs from toast to a daily soup. Prices sit in the mid range.

Why it matters

Large roastery bars are rare. They need space and money. This one shows that a city can still support a big, serious coffee room.

It opens seven days a week.
